Queen’s Beach, also known as Kuhio Beach Park, is named after Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana’ole, who was a member of the Hawaiian royal family. The beach was a popular spot for Hawaiian royalty, and it’s said that Queen Lili’uokalani used to swim here regularly. Today, the beach is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, and it’s a great place to learn more about Hawaiian history and culture.

Play/Watch Volleyball

Another reason to visit Queen’s Beach in Waikiki is to play or watch volleyball. Be aware that this is an excellent spot for a game but only if you’re on the professional side. The courts here are permanently installed. This isn’t the place for amateurs, nor is it a place you can just show up to and expect to play. These are serious players and the courts are usually quite busy. If you’re not a pro it’s still a fun place to watch a game and enjoy the beautiful scenery. 

Surf at Queen’s Beach

Last but not least Queen’s Beach is one of the most famous beaches for surfing in Hawaii.
