The Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel is the biggest Hotel in Waikiki. It is at the beginning of Waikiki, directly at the beach. It is one of the few Hotels in Waikiki with direct beach access. The Location
Located at the beginning of Waikiki, you can’t miss it. Coming from Honolulu International Airport and going into Waikiki, the Hilton Hawaiian Village is one of the first Hotels you will see. The famous Hotel is located directly on Kahanamoku beach. The beach was named after Duke Kahanamoku, a famous swimmer, surfer, beach boy and later Sheriff of Honolulu.
The Hotel is only a few steps from the beach and some amazing surf spots. Some of the most popular surf spots in Waikiki are out of the Hotels front door.
The Hotel
With 5 towers and more than 3,000 rooms the Hilton Hawaiian Village is the biggest Hotel in the State of Hawaii. It was built under a different name in 1928 and was acquired by Conrad Hilton in 1961.
Celebrities at the Hilton
Elvis Presley filmed his famous movie “Blue Hawaii” at the Hilton. Many people know the famous Rainbow Tower from the TV Show Hawaii Five-0 (watch Hawaii Five-0 right now). Another famous guest that stopped by in 2014 – Godzilla! On its way across the island, Godzilla destroyed parts of the Hilton, half of Waikiki before diving back into the Pacific Ocean. The Pools and the Lagoon
There are 5 Pools at the Hotel. There are waterslides in the pools and lots of water activities in the lagoon. Four of the pools are for the whole family, one pool is for adults only.
