Kualoa Ranch is one of the top places to visit on Oahu. This 4,000 acre nature reserve contains three lush, green valleys and has been the location where over 50 movies have been shot.

Let’s talk about all the fun activities you can find at this retreat on the windward coast of Oahu.

What is Kualoa Ranch?

Kualoa Ranch was once a revered space, home to sacred drums. According to legend, the first taro crop grew from the ground at Kualoa Ranch. Over time, many acres of this land were purchased and used as a sugar ranch, a military base, and finally, a filming location.

The land is primarily utilized as a cattle ranch and tourist spot now, offering horseback and ATV rides, a zip line adventure, and tours of film locations. If you’re lucky, it’s possible a movie will be filmed while you are in the area!

Kualoa Movie Tour
