1. Stairway to Heaven
Stairway to Heaven is the name of the 4,000-foot long hiking trail. The stairs, whose 3,922 steps wind through a 2,800-foot mountain trail in Kaneohe, on the eastern side of Oahu. The stairs reach a dramatic peak through the clouds and many locals consider the view to be the best in all of Hawaii!
Location
You can drive to Haiku Village and find a place to park. There is parking in the Moanalua Valley Neighborhood park, however, parking space is limited. Be aware that the park opens at 7 AM and closes at 7 PM.
You will hike the Moanalua Valley Trail. You can easily find the location on google maps or enter these coordinates to find the exact starting point: 21.37415, -157.87963
When to Go There
Year-round, but it’s extra muddy and slippery during the winter months, which have more rain. The best time is during a bright time of the day. BUT we do NOT recommend doing this hike because it is very dangerous and you can get in trouble.

2. Koko Head Trail
The Koko Crater Trail is the perfect hike for a legs workout. After 1048 steps you reach the top of Koko Head from where you have a view of parts of Big Island, Hanauma Bay, and East Honolulu shoreline.

When to Go There?
Do not do the hike in the blazing sun, but go in the morning at sunrise or in the evening at sunset. During this time, the perfect mood for your Instagram photo is also created.

3. Ho’Omaluhia Botanical Gardens
Opened in 1982, this garden in Kāneʻohe features plantings from major tropical regions around the world grouped geographically. The entrance road, lined with palm trees and an epic mountain backdrop is the perfect background for your Instagram pictures!

4. Pray for Sex Beach (Makua Beach)
Makua Beach is also known as “pray for sets or pray for sex” beach. This beach is considered the ultimate snorkeling destination. The sunset from Makua beach is truly spectacular. Clear blue water and white sandy beach await you here and are the perfect spot for a #beachday picture!
Location
Makua Beach is one of the most secluded and far away beaches on Oahu. It takes some time to get there from Honolulu but it’s definitely worth it! The beach is located on the west side of Oahu.

5. Pink Pillbox Trail
During this 1.6-mile trail, you will have an amazing panoramic view of Oahu’s western shoreline. Also, this hike is not too difficult and can be managed well! Once at the top, you can then take your photos in the pink bunker.

6. Byodo in Temple
The Byodo-In Temple is a non-practicing Buddhist temple that welcomes people of all faiths to worship, meditate or simply appreciate its beauty.

When to Go There
The Temple Grounds are open 8:30 am – 5:00 pm daily. The last entrance to Temple grounds is 4:45 pm. The Gift Shop is open 8:30 am – 5:00 pm daily.
