When is the Best Time to Visit Hawaii?

Ultimately, in our honest opinion – there isn’t an inopportune time to visit Hawaii. Going to Hawaii is a dream for many visitors, and who can blame them?

The islands are gorgeous at any time of year. However, because of your travel preferences, the tropical vacation months can vary.

Best Time of Year to Visit Hawaii for Low Prices

The most expensive period to fly to Hawaii is from mid-December through mid-April. For extra savings, you can keep an eye out for flight deals from airlines like Southwest. Be aware that demand for tickets during the high season and holidays tends to raise the average price per ticket. Hotel rooms, for example, are likely to be cheapest during the fall months, from September through the middle of December.

Best Time to Visit Hawaii for Great Weather

The most consistently good weather is usually found in April, May, September, and October. The wettest months are from November to March, but winter rains do not generally disrupt vacation plans, since the weather is very localized. This means that if it is raining where you are, there is almost always a sunny spot to be found around the coast. Moreover, there are plenty of things to do during rainy days in Hawaii.

Surfing Season Hawaii

If you are coming to Hawaii to learn surfing then you should consider summertime – it is a better time for amateur surfers to enjoy wakeboarding or try out surfing for the first time. However, surfing varies during the year. North-facing shorelines experience higher waves in the winter, and waves are higher on south-facing shorelines in the summer.

Weather in Hawaii is Beautiful All Year Round

Everyone has their preferences when it comes to the best weather in Hawaii. However, no matter what season you plan your visit, you’ll always find something spectacular on the islands.
