Hawaii is blessed with pleasant weather and nature. That’s why around 10 million people visit the beautiful islands of Hawaii from all over the world. To keep nature green and lush rain is very important. So before you visit Hawaii you should be aware of the rainy season here which lasts from November until March. If you are in Hawaii on vacation and it suddenly starts to rain, don’t worry it’s not going to ruin your day because we are here for you with 5 things to do on a rainy day in Hawaii.

1. Coffee shops

The coffee shops on Oahu are great places to spend some time with friends or by yourself, enjoying the Hawaiian atmosphere while sipping your favorite drink. You can also get work done here if you need some quiet space and peace of mind!

The perfect way to start your day is with a cup of coffee and some delicious bakery from one of our favorite coffee shops on Oahu. For example, Honolulu Coffee, Coffee Talk, or Knots Roasters have great Hawaiian blends that will make you feel fresh and inspired on any given morning!

Honolulu coffee at Kalakaua Ave has a lot of space inside and outside with a great interior Muwhere you can see how the coffee beans get roasted.

Knots Coffee Roasters is a peaceful location with a beautiful view. So if you search for a quiet and not busy spot where you can work or study this is the right choice.

Coffee Talk in Kaimuki is a super friendly place where customers turn into friends. Enjoy your time in a relaxing area or you can also meet new people.

Museums are always a good opportunity to escape the rain and learn more about history culture or art. And Honolulu has some interesting museums!

Bishop Museum is the place where you can explore Hawaiian history and culture. The entry price varies from 17$ to 25 $ depending on your age.

Honolulu Museum of Arts is a unique place about art, history, culture, and education which is located in the heart of Honolulu. It costs you 20$ to visit this museum.

Iolani Palace was the official residence of the Hawaiian Kingdoms. The different tours inside the palace are available from Tuesday to Saturday and cost between 25$ and 99$.

3. Shopping

Of course, shopping is always a good idea when it’s rainy.

Ala Moana Center is the world’s largest open-air shopping center with more than 350 shops and restaurants. The center retailers specialize from casual wear to unique Hawaii surf gear and much more.

Waikele Premium Outlet is the only outlet center on the island of Oahu. It is the most popular shopping destination here with more than 50 shops of famous brands.

The International Marketplace is open, but the walkways are covered. You won’t get wet even on a rainy day in Hawaii. Enjoy the different shops, restaurants, and the food court with the $2 beers!

4. Pearl Harbor Tour

At DanielsHawaiii we have done a lot of Pearl Harbor Tours in the rain. The exhibitions at Pearl Harbor like the museum and the movie about the attack are indoors. So it is always worth visiting.

Lucky Strike is the island’s hotspot for fun. If you are searching for fun things to do with your friends eating some good food and drinking delicious cocktails while playing bowling then visit Lucky Strike.
