Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Waikiki

The Royal Hawaiian Hotel is the second oldest Hotel in Waikiki. It is truly one of a kind. Its architecture and location are amazing and beautiful. Locals call the hotel “The Pink Lady”. The hotel was built in 1927. The first hotel in Hawaii was the Moana Surfrider Hotel, which is almost right next door.

Built as the second Hotel in Waikiki, when there was plenty of space to build, the Royal Hawaiian Hotel has a prime location. Located at Waikiki beach, the hotel is one of the few hotels with direct beach access. The Pink Lady is next to the Waikiki Sheraton and the Outrigger Waikiki Beach. The exact address of the Hotel is: 2259 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii 96815.

Certainly one of the more luxurious hotels in Waikiki, the Royal Hawaiian has 528 rooms, including 34 suites and 18 of those with ocean view. But even if you can not afford an ocean room suite, the rooms to the back of the Hotel are nice, too. They face the great garden and are quiet. It’s only a few moments to the beach.
