Hawaii North Shore is one of the most popular destinations during Hawaii vacation. One of the most picturesque North Shore Oahu towns is Haleiwa. People from all over the world come here to enjoy the beaches, eat Hawaiian food, and see the sights. Haleiwa offers not only one of the best surfing beaches in Hawaii but likewise tons of other fun things to do. Here we prepared the list of our favorite things you MUST do in Haleiwa.

1. Get an Acai Bowl

You must visit Hale’iwa Bowls Smoothie & Juice Bar. Here you can try Hawaii’s best acai bowls; no added sugars, or preservatives. Fresh and organic produce is used daily. Owned by a few locals of Oahu.

2. Visit a Macadamia Nut Farm

North Shore Macadamia Nut Company is a small, family-run nut farm where you can try a great variety of nuts for free!

The rich soil of Oahu produces some of the most delicious macadamia nuts and coffee beans in the world. That’s why the experts behind North Shore Macadamia Nut Company grow their nuts and beans on Haleiwa’s beautiful, sprawling Kamananui Orchard.

3. Stop By a Shrimp Truck

That’s SO delicious….

When you are in Haleiwa you must definitely try the amazing garlic shrimps at Giovanni’s. They started operating out of a converted 1953 bread truck without much more than a few recipes for great shrimp and an entrepreneurial spirit. They drove the truck around the North Shore stopping along the side of the road for a couple of hours at each stop to share what we thought was some pretty special food- turns out, they were the only shrimp truck around. Locals took notice and word began to spread about the delicious shrimp!

4. Take a Photo with Angel Wings

Colette Miller’s Global Angel Wings. These wings are a new “attraction/thing to do” when you’re in exiting Haleiwa Town. Ever since the famous global angel wings made it on the North Shore, it has been a must spot to visit!

5. Try Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Coming up to the beautiful North Shore of Oahu is a must for any visitor to feel the aloha vibe and experience paddleboarding in a picturesque area. Enjoy smooth and calm stand-up paddleboarding on both the ocean and an inland stream. There is no calmer, easier, and more peaceful paddling experience on Oahu than going up the Haleiwa River. This is the perfect place for first time SUP as the gently flowing river cuts into the landscape while Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles swim peacefully underneath your board.
