Island Hopping to Kauai

There are several important things you need to keep in mind when you are island hopping. Kauai, one of the oldest Hawaiian islands, is also called “The Garden Island”. There, you can explore green vegetation, many waterfalls and the most beautiful beaches. DanielsHawaii offers private tours including a helicopter flight on Kauai – More…

At approximately six million years old, it is the oldest of the main islands. The highest peak on this mountainous island is Kawaikini at 5,243 feet (1,598 m). The second highest peak is Mount Waiʻaleʻale near the center of the island, 5,148 ft (1,569 m) above sea level. One of the wettest spots on earth, with an annual average rainfall of 460 inches (1,200 cm). The high annual rainfall has eroded deep valleys in the central mountains, carving out canyons with many scenic waterfalls.

On the west side of the island, Waimea town is located at the mouth of the Waimea River, whose flow formed Waimea Canyon, one of the world’s most scenic canyons. At 3,000 ft (914 m) deep, Waimea Canyon is often referred to as “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific”.
Next to the canyon you will see the most beautiful coasts on earth, The Na Pali coast located in the center of the rugged 16 miles (26 km) along the northwest side of Kaui. Although inaccessible to vehicles, this coast can only be enjoyed by hiking or in a helicopter, and from the ocean by kayak and paddleboard.

Tours on Kauai

Enjoy a tour on Kauai! We are glad to show you some of the most beautiful places on Kauai. The best experience you will ever have is a helicopter flight over Kauai. This is an absolute dream!

Endless Waterfalls on Kauai

Kauai has nearly 10,000 beautiful waterfalls! Therefore, we recommend our Kauai tour followed by a helicopter flight. You can take pictures and video recordings during the flight by watching amazing waterfalls which are sometimes surrounded by a breathtaking rainbow. This island is definitely worth a visit!
Most of Kauai is unexplored. You can see the whole island only by taking a helicopter. Most parts of Kauai are not accessible by walking or driving due to steep slopes and the density of the jungle.

Is it worth to visit different Hawaiian islands?

If you are already here, you definitely want to see as much of Hawaii as possible. Each island has its own character and is worth seeing.

Don’t Rush!

If you have only a two week vacation, you won’t have enough time to see all the islands. We recommend that you should stay at least four days on each of the following islands:
Oahu: Waikiki, North Shore surf & Downtown Honolulu
Maui: Road to Hana Tour, Black Sand Beaches, Lava Caves
Big Island: Active Volcano, Green Sand Beaches, Hilo & Kona
Molokai: fishing, hunting, camping
Lanai: swimming with dolphins, relaxation pure

Come to Hawaii several times!

We recommend that you should save your money to come back to Hawaii. There is so much to discover on each of these islands. You should take your time to explore them all and don’t see them just during a short visit. Looking for Things to do in Hawaii? Check out our activities in Hawaii page.
