Our private group surf lessons for 3-10 people give the entire family or friends a chance to share in the fun of surfing in a safe and comfortable environment. Rivers to the Sea instructors are highly trained and focus on water safety as well as personal surf instruction and support during the lesson and of course having a ton of fun! Groups of 6 or more require another instructor to maintain our 5:1 student/teacher ratio. We do not combine guests from separate parties for group lessons. All lessons offered are private for your party.
You will receive personalized instructions catered to your needs to help you reach your surfing goals. From the basics of learning how to paddle, to the progression of catching waves, your lesson will also provide you with the knowledge to read waves and currents on your own. You will have a guide who is talented in and out of the water. All of our guides are required to have basic to big wave surfing backgrounds as well as American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications.

Learn to surf with our surf school in Lahaina! We provide everything you need to surf in one easy lesson! Each lesson includes an approximate 10-15 minute land lesson on the basics of surfing, and ocean safety. The rest of the lesson is spent in the water! We specialize in all levels from beginning to advanced. The classes include use of a rashguard, surf shoes, and a soft top surfboard. The lessons include a land lesson on the basics of surfing, emphasizing water safety. The rest of the time is spent with an instructor in the water teaching you how to catch your own waves!
Learn to surf with Lahaina Surf Shack. Our Surf Group Lessons are for all ages, shapes and sizes. Our instructors are all certified in CPR and First Aid.
